Compton Dundon Parish Council has seven seats, each seat filled by contested election (5th May 2011). It is currently part of a three-tier hierarchy with the principal councils South Somerset District Council (SSDC) and Somerset County Council (SCC). This status lasts for 4 years after which time the council will be required to re-register.
